Amelia Corde was born on Corellia in 33 BBY. She was discovered by Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine who took her, along with dozens of Force Sensitive children, to become Emperor's Hands.These children were trained in every aspect of the Force, espionage, combat, and culture. Each child was heavily indoctrinated with the belief that their work would be for the greater good of the galaxy.In 15 BBY, Amelia completed her final trial. Believing she was the only survivor of the examination (a lie), Amelia was dubbed the Emperor's Hand.

This position afforded her the authority necessary to accomplish her missions. As per Palpatine's orders, only the highest echelons of Imperial power were aware of her existence.

Prior to the Battle of Endor, Amelia is a servant of the Emperor. She is one of his most capable spies and assassins.During the Battle of Endor, Amelia is away on a mission when the Emperor dies. Joined by her closest companion, Imperial Cyberneticist Arkim Isard, she locates the Imperial Remnants and builds a warlord state in the Outer Rim.A decade after the Battle of Endor, Amelia is put into cryogenic sleep. When she awakens a decade later she receives a telekinetic message from her dead master: Find the First Order.

There are two timelines for Amelia Corde.The first is mentioned above. In that timeline she follows in the footsteps of the Empire and remains in its shadow long after its fall.The second, below, is a path of redemption.Two years before the Battle of Yavin, Amelia Corde became disillusioned with the teachings of her master. A mission gone wrong resulted in the deaths of three children by her hand. Horrified of what she had done, realizing who she had become, Amelia knew she couldn't stay.Desperate to escape into a life of obscurity, she abandoned her post. Initially she enlisted with the Black Sun, but Vigo Rhugo Obriss discovered her true identity, she fled to Nar Shaddaa.Amelia hid away for years, doing odds jobs for the Hutts and other local syndicates, before re-emerging months after the destruction of Alderaan.
